Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

without comments

The first part of the end for our dear Harry has him and his close friends out to find several horcruxes or objects that magically contain parts of Voldemort’s soul in an effort to weaken and eventually kill the evil wizard. The legend of the Deathly Hallows was only a legend till the wand maker Olivander confirms the legend to be true, in a sense.

The legend has three magical objects that to who ever possesses all of them becomes the most powerful wizard of all time. The objects consists of the Elder Wand, the Cloak of Invisibility and the Ressurection stone, all given by death to three brothers who were contained in a story/legend known as The tales of the Three Brothers. Harry, Hermoine and Rupert all go out after the Horcruxes which was compounded by the legend which they believe is true and may hold the key to ending the rising influence and power of you know who.

Columbia College studies wizards

Wouldn’t it be nice to study about your favorite book all college years? That could be quite ideal especially if you are a Harry Potter fanatic because the Columbia College is offering a Harry Potter course for incoming students. If you are going to enrol in that course, they will charge you 600 dollars per hour. The course aims to go through Rowling’s writings that will focus on “reading between the lines” and double meanings, intricate details that is all over Harry Potter books. Example of a question asked to students is Harry’s Muggle residency, Privet Drive. So they have to find out what is a privet and its significance.

Deathly Hallows to be Released in Two Halves

without comments

null

Good news for Harry Potter fans who think the movies should be more faithful to the novel.  According to the crew working on the Harry Potter flicks, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (the seventh novel of the Harry Potter series) will be relesed in two parts.  The first five Harry Potter movies have made 2.5 billion pounds in the box office, and a two-part movie could mean a 500 million pound bonus.  Sources, however, insist that the motive behind the two-part movie is not financial.  Since the books got progressively longer, fans complained that chunks of the novel get left out in the film.  While not every single detail in the book will get included in the movie, the producers are discussing all sorts of possibilities.

Casting Call Fraud

without comments

null

There have been several emails going around the internet during the past few months which announce casting calls for the next Harry Potter movies.  These e-mails are fake.  Many of them require you to submit personal information, and some even request payment.  These fake e-mails usually have a subject line that says “YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO AUDITION FOR THE NEXT HARRY POTTER FILM” or something similar.  It is not the practice of Warner Brother’s to do casting activity by sending out random e-mails.  Currently, Warner Brothers is working with law enforcement officers to investigate where this hoax started and are taking as much action as possible to warn fans and hopefuls about the scam.

Rupert Alexander Grint plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movie adaptation. Although his only acting experience prior to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was acting in one school play, he has already earned recognition and rave reviews from critics and fans. He only joined the auditions for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone for kicks and unlike the other hopefuls, he came in with hip-hop lyrics he wrote himself that depicted Ron Weasley. The first harry Potter movie became a huge hit, and he climbed his way up to stardom. In 2005, he and his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson ranked #9 in Entertainment Weekley’s Best Entertainers of the Year.
